STRANGE SHOOTING AFFAIR.
YOUTHS' MAD ACT. TWO MEN INJURED. A sensational shooting affray occurred near Takapuna shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday, whereby two men, Percy Robert Skeates, of the firm of Skeates and White, motor garage proprietors, and Robert James Hanna, a mechanic employed by the firm, were wounded. The assailant is said to have been a young man named Robert Jasper Crago, about 19 years of age, who was being given a trial, at Takapuna, of a motor acr, which, it is stated, he led the victims to believe he intended to purchase. Crago was arrested. Skeates, who was wounded in five places, and still has four bullets in various parts of his head and body, lies at the'hospital, but is not considered to be in a very serious condi-
