MARAETAWA.
Own Correspondent. It was decided some time ago to hold a concert and dance at Mr Wooderson'a tea rooms Reigate Farm, and the event duly came off on Saturday, March Ist. All the settlera from far and wide came along, it being the first concert and dance held here. Everyone did their best to make the function a success, and the programme was all that could be desired. Great praise is due to Mr and Mrs Wooderson, also to the ladies for supplying the refreshments. The following variety programme was gone through: —Song,-Miss McDonald; song, Miss J McDonald; song Miss L. McDonlad; duet, Miss McDonald and Mr R. Elliott; song, Mr O. Tappin; song, Mr J. McDonald; song, Mr J. Wooderson; song, Mr P. Hopkins; song, Mr H McLean; duet, Mr D. Tappin and Miss McDonald; recitations, Messrs H. and R. Riddle.
