TE KUITI SPORTS CLUB.
At a meeting of the above club, held in the Chronicle office last evening, it was unanimously decided to hold the annual sports gathering on Wednesday, April I.6th. Several new sports attended and with the assistance of the whole of the committee of past sports co-operating, the present meeting should add to the long list of successes of the club. A sub-committee waR appointed to draw up tbo programme and select a suitable ground handy to town to hold the sports and repoit to a general meeting to be held at the Chronicle office on Tuesday evening next. It is the intention of the committee to make the function more of a picnic and arrangements will bo made for toys, etc., for the children. Numbers of enquiries are already in hand for programmes from intending competitors living in outside districts and the committee arß hopeful of a continuance of the financial assistance ungrudgingly given in past yearß by the townspeople and collectors will wait on sympathisers and supporters in the near future. The secretary appointed for the meeting is Mr Trinnear.
