BLAZE AT TOKYO.
* 15,000 PERSONS HOMELESS.
3300 BUILDINGS DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—l'rcss Association.-OopynglH Tokyo, Thursday. A big blaze davastated a large area of Tokyo yesterday. The outbreak started in the Salvation Army barracks in the Kanaka quarter, and spread with dreadful rapidity among the light houses in the quarter. Befure the conflagration was subdued 3300 houses and many schools and public institutions had been destroyed, fifteen thousand people being rendered homeless.
The damage totals a million and a-half sterling. The homeless are taking refuge in the parks.
