AS I am precluded from replying to Cr O'Dwyer'a letter in the King Country Chronicle of the fifth inst., which infers that he has the confidence of the ratepayers in that riding behind him, and in order to test the confidence of the ratepayers in the personnel of the present council, I challenge Cr O'Dwyer to resign his seat and contest an election with myself or any other ratepayer whom I may nominate, end in the event of his re-election I shall undertake to pay the cost of Buch an election.
