The settlers at Ranigtoto will be pleased to hear that the Rev. R. B. Gosnell will conduct service in the school tent on Sunday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. As this is the first service in the school Mr Gosnell wishes it to be known that hymn books will be provided and that at the close of the service the congregation will be con suited as to arranging regular services.

All those who take an interest in good, clean sport, should be prseent at this service, which takes place in the Municipal Hall (Council Chambers) commencing at 7 o'clock.

Mias lorns, late of the Training College, Wellington, has decided to open a private school at Te Kuiti for girls and boys. The school will open on Monday, February 17h, at 9.30 a.m., in the Municipal Hall, when intending pupils are invited to be present. Mss lorns is unable to leave her present duties until April, but has made arrangements with Miss Graham to carry on the school until that date. We draw attention to the advertisement appearing in this issue in connection with the West End Conservatoriems. The proprietors are leav ing no stone unturned to secure the very best results for their vegetables and pot plants. The manager is an expert in connection with hot house treatment and a visit to the glasshouse will repay customers, as wall as being an educatoin and a pleasing experience.

At Ngaruawahia yesterday, Mr John Allen's well-known Romney stud were put up for sale. Mr R. M. Somerville, of Te Kuiti, purchased thirtv stud Romney ewes. These ewes were sired by Mr Short's stud ram Record Breaker. Mr Somerville also purchased twenty stud rams. The importation of this first-class stock should be beneficial to flockowners in this district. Mr J. Graham has received word that the consignment of horses con sisting of medium, heavy, and light draught horses, "obs and mares in foal, advertised by Messrs Hoult and Son, of Feilding, will be to hand in time to be sold on Friday, February 21st, on the Te Kuiti showgrounds.
