Whangarei. This Day. Thomas Ellis and three sons were beating out fires at Jordan yesterday when a tree fell striking the second son Donald on the head and back inflicting deep wounds and bruises. He died three hours later from shock. Deceased was thirteen years of age. The doctor gave a certificate of death registered before the police were informed, therefore no inquest is being held.
