By Telegraph..—Press Association. —Gopj-ripJal Sydney. Friday. A heavy thunderstorm is reported from Glen Innes. The rainfall Will greatly benefit the crops. At Armidale the telephone wires were fused during a thunderstorm, and the inmates of one house received an electric shock. Other districts report severe thunder and lightning following the heat wave. A cyclone is raging at Cairns, in Queensland. The wind is blowing with terrific force, the rain is torrential, and there are mountainous seas on the coast. The coastal shipping is sheltering. The damage to houses has been slight. At Port Douglas, Queensland, the young sugar cane crops have been affected. Cyclonic disturances, accompanied with heavy rain, are reported from Port Darwin.
