BOWLING.

The local green is now in capital order for play and the club's members are showing excellent form. The team for Te Aroha to day is a fairly strong combination, but unfortunately it is not the full strength of the club. However it may be relied upon to give a (airly good account of itself. The forthcoming Eaßter tournament at Auckland is being looked forward tojwith considerable interest and it i 8 quite on the cards that Te Kuiti will be strongly represented. If the club is represented by its full strength it ahould have something to say in the finals. In addition to the usual rink and pairajteams it promises to be well represented among the first year player 3, several of whom are showing excellent form Messrs Walsh, Boles and Pattison being among the most prominent. The Cochrane ferns which were productive of keen competition on Beveral occasions last season have not been played for as yet during the present season. The holders of the trophies at present are Messrs Lissaraan, Lusk, Jones, and Verrall. These have now been challenged by Meßßrs Boles, Walsh, Pattison and Steel, and the match is to be arranged for the firHt convenient Thursday afternoon. As Verrall has left the district a substitute will have to be played in Lissaman's team. The first year players are flying at high game and if they perform creditably against their experienced opponents should have an excellent chance in the Auckland tournament.
