WEDDING BELLS.
WALL—THOMPSON. A very stylish motor-wedding took place in Hamilton on Wednesday, Bth inst. The bridal party left the Hamilton Hotel in six motor cars and drove to the new Presbyterian Church, Prankton, where the Rev. Buchanan per ormedythe first wedding ceremony in the church. The contracting parties were Miss Lenna Lorraine Thompson, daughter of Mrs F. Thompson, of Wellington, and Mr Robert Wall, junr., of the firm of Wall and Sona, building contractors, Sydney. The bride, who entered th« church on the arm of her brother-in-law, Mr Adam McCardle, was exquisitely growned in ivory satin, veiled with marquisette and point lace. The corsage was heavily wrought with pearls, while a long court train swept gracefully from he? shoulders, over which fell a long tulle veil from its fastenings of orange blossoms. She carried a lovely bouquet of orchids, roses, and sweet peas, and wore for her only ornamental gold wrist watch, the gift of the bridegroom. Her two attendants were Miss Olive McCarlleand Miss Trita Howe, of Wellington, nieces of the bride, and they looked dainty in their bridesmaid's frocks. Miss McCardle wore pale pink silk voile, white silk hat with bebe roses and pink streamers, and carried a handsome bouquet of pink sweet peas, roses and blue hydrangeas. Miss Howe wore white embroidered silk and whits silk hat, and also carried a beautiful bouquet of blue delphiniums. Both maids were the recipients of massive gold bangles, the gifts of the bridegroom. At the conclusion of the ceremony the wedding patty and guests repaired to the Royal Cafe, where a recherche breakfast was laid and a reception held. The tableß were a glory of soft tinting, the tone throughout the colour scheme being purely French, with mauve predominating All the floral work was exquisite, and reflects great credit upon Mrs Jenkins, who carried it out. When the usual toasts had been honoured and full justice done to the dainty viands, Mr and Mrs Wall left by motor for Te Aroha, Rotorua, Wellington and the South Island, where a holiday will be spent before returning to Sydney, their future home. The bride's travelling costume was of nattier blue shantung ■ilk, with blouse of shadow lace, and motor bonnet of pink crepe de chine, black lace, bebe roses, and pink streamers. The wedding presents were very valuable. "Amongst the guests werp Mrs F. Thompson, in a handsome dress of black glace with honiton lace trimmings.- black and white hat and bouquet of red carnations; Mrs Adam McCardle, Kihikibi, Bister of the bride, creme serge with lace coatee, and black tagel hat; Mrs Vincent McCardle, creme ninon and satin, large black tagel hat; Mrs Turtle, Sydney,, grey crepe de chine, aluminium trimmings, large hat to match with autumn flowers; Mrs T. Wall, Sydney, lime silk.poplih, hat to match with large ostrich plume; Miss Longrigg, Sydney, white voile,. Irish crochet trimmings, large white bat with ostrich plumes; Mrs Scultz, Sydney, white embroidered voile with French belt and applique trimmnigs, White hat with shaded blue ostrich plumes; Mrs Mobbn, Sydney, pale pink floral muslin, milline lace hat to match, with pink daisies.
