THE MELBOURNE MURDER.
AN ARREST MADE. POLICE THEORY OP CRIME. Melbourne, Tuesday. Of the two persons implicated in Trotter's murder one was of small physique, and did not speak during the tragedy.. The detectives are working on the theory that the smaller Was a woman and was well acquainted with the Trotters and their movements, and that she was afraid to speak for fear of her voice betraying her. A labourer named Harold Thompson has been arrested and formally charged with the murder of Trotter. The police have been shadowing the accused man for days, and surrounded the house. Thompson denies the i charge. ' N
