A conference of the Railway Workers and General Labourers' Association approved of amalgamating with the United Labourers Protective Society, and the question will be ballotted by both unions. The scheme ama'gamates 21,000. covering all labourers in New South Wales. The ultimate objective propounded is the emancipation of labour by the abolition of the wages system and the establishment of a co-opera-tive commonwealth.
