The Engineera' council was about to begin buiinees when a number of members broke into the building and forced [seven- councillors towards the stairs. Four of them were violently ~* rolled down twenty stone steps, two being badly injured. The Provisional Executive authorised the eviction.
No machinery exists to deal with the situation, the deadlock being unparatielled in the history of unionism.
