TE KUITI-MOKAU ROAD.
GOVERNMENT UNDERTAKE WORK, METALLING TO PROCEED. Settlers throughout the district will be glad to learn that the work of metalling the main road is to be undertaken by the Government, and steps are to be taken to push vigor ously ahead so that the full benefit of the summer season may be received. Mr C. K. Wilson, member for the district, proceeded to Wellington this week in connection with various matters of importance to the electorate, and a telegram received from the member yesterday intimated that instructions had been issued to the Public Works officials to proceed with the work without delay. It is understood the contracts which were let last season are to be determined, and fresh arangements made.
