LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, are in receipt of the following cable from their London office, under date December 16th, 1912: W001.—1870 bales offered; 1850 sold. Good wools unchanged. Shabby and dingy wools slight hesitancy. Yorkshire large buyers.

Heavy vealers sold at £3 30s to £4 10s; medium weights, £2 10s to £3 3s-'lighter sorts £1 10s to £2 2s; amaller and fresh dropped, 5s to 18s. Sheep were yarded in exceptionally large numbers, and improved in prices from Is to 2s per head on last week s quotations.' Wethers, in wool sold at from 24s to 2os. ewes to 20s 9d; hoggets, 17s to 19s 9d; best horns wethers 18s Gd to 19s 9d; best shorn wethers 18s 6d to 19s 9d, others 15s to 18s 3d, ewes 10s to 17s 9d, hoggets 10s 6d to 16s Gd. A small pen of hoggets realised 21s. Lambs in extra large supply, and competition was keen, and good pricas were realised, freezing buyers being unable to buy. Best quality sold at from 14s 6d to 17s 9d, other* 10s 6d to 16s 6d, inferior fatted 8s 6d to 10s. Pigs were jarded in numbers and sold at late quotations.
