BOROUGH LOAN PROPOSAL.

RESULT OF POLL. THE LOAN CARRIED. The poll tn connection with the proposals decided upon by the Borough Council to raise a loan of £13,000 for the purpose of extending the tosn improvement was taken on Thursday at the Municipal Hall. There was not a great amount of interest taken in the poll by the ratepayers as was manifested by the fact that only ninety-two votes were recorded during the day. There were fifty-one recorded in favoutjaf the loan, and forty against, while one informal vote was registered.
