Butter. —The market, remains linn, with fair demand for better grades for Christmas trade, but for ordinary quality the, market is quiet, at advanced values, which are extremely difficult to decide. Dunodin, Monday. The first wool sale of the season was held to-day. High prices were the result of keen competition. Some ,S7o(> bales were catalogued, and the quality of the wool was excellent,. Bradford, Continental, and American buyers operated freely. Mr Kalangher, agrieultuarl inspector under the Board of Education, paid a visit to Te Kuiti school kuU, week, and inspected the work done by the children in agricultural branch. The inspector was highly pleased with the field work hich lias been carried out in a thoroughly systematic manner under the supervision of Mr Power, the headmaster.
