HANGATIKI HALL.
OPENING CEREMONY. The new hall, built by Mr A. S. Board, was opened on Saturday even\.4ng last. The building is very centrally situated, and is a solidly built «nd pleasing looking structure. Visitors from Te K"uiti, Otorohanga and surrounding districts attended the function When the curtain was raised the hall was filled to the door. Mr A Scholes, in formally declaring the hall open, congratulated Mr Board o~ his enterprise in building such a fine hal' and spoke of the great benefit the building would be to the community. He hoped that evening would be a forerunner of many other pleasant evenings they would spend in th« hall \ delightful programme of vocal and'instrumental items was given by the following Auckland artists, each ' eVof which was very favourably received, and many encores called Regular Royal Queen," Misses Bartley and Parrel, Mess" McElwain and Sutherand; sone''My Old Shako," Mr Suther- '.
