Lower prices are encouraging busniess. The average price for the week for finest New Zealand cheese was white 60s 6d, coloured 61s 6d, Hemp.—The market is quiet, but steady. New Zealand good fair grade £33, fair grade £3l 10s for any position ; fair current Manila £32, forward shipment £34. The output from Manila for the week was 18,000 bales. Wool. —Regarding the wool sales, the market closed very strong, with good competition and indications favourable for continuance of the present prices.
