A WAGGONING ACCIDENT.

MAN'S LEG BROKEN. TE KUITI-PIO PIO ROAD. A somewhat serious accident occurred to a young man named McKay on Wednesday on the road between Te Kuiti and Pio Pio. Mr McKay was driving a loaded waggon, and noticing that the load had shifted he pulled up the team, and got on top of the load to ajdust matters. The horses started off and McKay fell from the top on to the pole. He tried to jump clear but failed, and the wheel went over his legs breaking the left leg between knee and ankle. The waggon went over a bank and was considerably damaged. News of the accident was conveyed to Te Kuiti and Dr Will was soon in attendance on the injured man who was subsequently brought to Te Kuiti.
