ARIA.

Own Correspondent. The supply to the. dairy factory at Aria ia rapidly increasing. The daily output is now far in excess of that turned out during the flush of last season. A fair number of new suppliers are on the list this year, including a number from this end of the Tangitu settlement. Supply from about 150 cows is being collected from that quarter. These suppliers have also taken up shares in the company. The company's field of operations is therefore extending, and it seems that it will continue to do so in this and other directions. A lot of trouble has been experienced by the Dairy Company in regard to the carting of their butter to Te Kuiti. However, a contract has now been let to Messrs Hattaway and Fitzpatrick, of Te Kuiti. It is fortunate for the directors that the transit of their product is in the charge of such a reputable firm. Teams are at work in various parts of the district preparing ground for turnips. It appears that each year sees a larrgely increased area under the plough and devoted to the production of winter feed. In the Kaeaea and of the district some very large areas are in course of preparation for swedes, onß party alone having no less than a hundred acres turned over.

What has long been an urgent requirement in this district has recently been effected by the establishment of a births, deaths and marriageß registration district or Aria. Mr C. J. Riddle has been appointed registrar. Hitherto this district has been included in the Mokau and latterly in the Mangaroa districts, and those who had business wich the registrar were obliged to undertake the journey to those places.
