Own Correspondent. The basket social held here on Wednesday night last, in connection with the Congregational Church, resulted in a bumper house. Mr Dransfield disposed of the baskets in a businesslike manner. During the evening, songs and recitations were given by the leading local talent, Mr Christian, of Te Kuiti, kindly providing the music.
