BOWLING.

The recent rains have been the means of greatly improving the local green, which is now in really good order. A number of the club competitions have been played and some good finishes have eventuated. Members are reminded that the first round of the competitions close on Saturday, December 14th, after'which date all unplayed games will be scratched. It is expected that one or two rinks will play in the Auckland tournament this month, and from the form shown by members this season, the club should be able to send teams which could give a very good account of themselves.
