NATIONALISED RAILWAYS. The return debate between teams representing the Taumarunui and Te Kuiti Debating Societies js fixed to take place to-morrow evening at Taumarunui • The team chosen to represent Te Kuiti is the same as that took part in the previous contest. The subject for debate is "That the -Nationalisation of the Railways has not been in the best interests of the Dominion. 1 ' Taumarunui takes the affirmative and advocates privateowned lines, while Te Kuiti supports the negative. It was arranged that the judges who officiated at Te Kuiti should act in a similar capacity at Taumarunui, but in consequence of an important engagement in Auckland Major Lusk will be unable to proceed to Taumarunui. Mr A. Scholes has consented to act in place of Major Lusk, therefore Messrs Foy, Saholes and Matthew will adjudicate.
