BOWLING.
The Te Kuiti bowling green has been well patronised of late, and some interesting and enjoyable games played. The greens are improving rapidly, as the season progresses. A large number of entries have been received for the various club matches, which consist of championship singles, handicap singles and pairs, also first year players' match. The latter should caase a lot of interest as there are a number of very promising first year players. It is likely that quite a number of visiting clubs will visit the local green during the season, which will tend to improve the local standard of play, and also engender a feeling of good fellowship between the visiting and local clubs. It is thought that with the talent at the disposal of the local club, they will be fully able to give a good account uf themselves, and when the Provincial Tournament comes along, it is to bo hoped that a rink or two may be sent from here, which will, if not successful in winning any of the coveted trophies, more than uphold the prestige of the club.
