GUN CLUB.
The opening day of the Te Kuiti Gun Club was held in Mr Lu3k's paddock on Saturday last. A very fair number of members attended and some exciting matches eventuated. The exhibition of shooting was not of the best, but considering that the light was particularly bad, and a strong wind blowing, some of the performances put up were of a fairly high order. The matches resulted as follows: Ten birds.—H. Rothery 1, H. J. Mussen 2. Five birds.—H. J. Mussen 1, P. Mora 2. Three birds.—P. Mora and E. 0. Mackay tied. Rerfeshments supplied by Mrs Mora were much appreciated and altogether a very pleasant afternoon was spent. The next shoot will take place on Saturday next, when all members and intending members are asked to attend.
