Competition was keen and everything was disposed of. Weaner pigs made up to 225, slips up to 31s, ewes in wool with 100 per cent, lambs 27s 3d, fat wethers 21s 3d to 24s 3d, best yearlings steers and heifers £3 8s to £3 17s 6d, smaller sort 3 £2 10s to £3, fat steers, small £8 2s 6d to £lO. fat heifers and young cows £6 4s to £7 13s, aged and medium fattened cows £5 5s to £5 15s, three year store steers £5 17b (3d to £7 ss, two year seers £4 10s, fresh cows £4 5s to £4 15s, stor9 cows £3 15s to £4, empty two year heifers £4 10s to £5 5, dairy heifers near profit £6 10s to £8 15s, backward sorts £4 15s to £5 10s, bulls at all prices. At Te Awamutu on November 2nd, 618 head of cattle were penned. There was a large attendance and good competition throughout. We quote: —Fat cows £5 18s to £6 12s, yearling Shorthorn bulls sgns to lOJgns, 3 year Holstein bulls Sgns to lOgns, 3 year Shorthorn bulls 4-Jgns to 6gns, 2 year empty dairy heifers £4 10s to £4 14s, 20 months heifers £4 to £4 7s, 2 year Holstein cross heifers £4 17s 6d to £5 4a, yearling to 15 months steers £3 30s to £3 16s, mixed yearlings £3 to £3 Bs, empty cows in forward condition £4 8s to £4 16a, store cows £3 39 to £3 17s, cows and calves £4 Bs, breeding sows £2 10s, store pigs 27s to 40s, slips 17s to 20s, young curly Linclon boars £3 3s, best springing heifers £7 17s 6d to £9 15s, medium heifers £6 10s to £7 ss. smaller or more backward heifers £4 10s to £5 15s, dairy cows up to £ll 15s.
