TE KUITI'S ELECTRIC LIGHT.

progress of work. Mr S. Irwin Crookes, electrical engineer in charge of the electric lihgfc installation for Te Euiti, paid a visit to the town yesterday. The preliminary arrangements in connection with the scheme are well forward. The power house, which is being erected on the section at the rear of the Municipal Chambers, is progressing well and the contractor, Mr W. Fullerton; shoula have it completed well up to time. The electrical plant, which is being ob tained from England, is now on the way, and the suction gas plant is being manufactured by Messrs Fraser and Sons, Auckland. This firm has a similar plant in operation and find it eminently satisfactory. The plant for Te Kuiti is to be 135 horse power and it should be completed very shortly.
