WAITOMO.
Own Correspondent,
On Saturday last, a meeting of ratepayers, convened by Mr A. Robson, was held at Waitomo to discuss road matters in general. The question of road formation was gone into a some length, and all present werti anxious to have the metalling contracts started as soon as possible. In the opinion of the majority, however, it was inadvisable to begin until the road had a chance to dry up thoroughly. Tenders are now being called for the crushing and carting of the metal, so that by the timn the roads are fit everything will be in readiness.
Mr G. C. Davis, with commendable enterprise, has installed an up-to-date milking plant and separate, and expects to have 100 cows in milk very shortly.
