MAROKOPA.

The weather continues to be of a Very boisterous nature, and is indeed very unseasonable. Once more the district is cut off from supples, no boat having visited the port for over two months The action of a local syndicate purchasing the ketch Dawn will no doubt mend these matters for the future, and will mean a certainty of supply. Mr E. C. Stanley has commenced the erection of a new and commodious store in order to cope with the growing demands of the district. The building, when completed, will be replete with every convenience, and will undoubtedly be a credit to the dstrict. The annual.- meeting of the Kawhia Harbour Railway League will be held in the Taumatatotara Junction school on Saturday, November 16th, for the election of "officers for the ensuing year and the consideration of the future policy of the league. The league has done very useful work, and it is understood that next year's proceedings are to be particularly active,

The first sale of the season is to be held at the Te Anga saleyards .on the last day of the present month. It is understood that there will be a large yarding, especially of cattle. Docking in the district is now almost complete. Excellent percentages have been the result, and are considerably ihgher than that of laßt year.- The splendid weather experienced during the month of August has no doubt', been responsible for the good results.
