HAYWARD'S PICTURES
The new programme to be screened at the Town Hall to-night and Monday evening will contain many features of interest. "Won Yet Lost" is a Nordisk feature film 300Uft long. From start to finish the story is full of unexpected happenings and sensations and the cleverly constructed plot cannot fail to grip one's attention. The love romance of two young military officers with two sistern offers un limited scope for brilliant acting, the t environment of the story amongst most delightful scenery and surroundl ings. One officer marries the girl of his choice, but the younger induces the younger sister to run away with him against her father's wish. A faithful friend of the family, is also orderly to the young officer, tampers with the girths on his master's horse, A who is just commencing a hurdle race. T The race and its attendant accident are exciting features. The officer is badly hurt, ia taken to the hospital. He marries the girl of his choice and the story finishes with a most appropriate finale. Others in the dramatic class will be "The Convict's Generosity" and "His Father's Son," a Vita, production. A film of great sporting interest should be the "Grand National," Melbourne, which gives views of the race, the crowd, and the hor9ea. Pathe'a Gazette, "Scenes in Summer," a coloured scenic, and a host of comedies complete the excellent programme. MISS MARIE BAINES. It is gratifying to note that in view of the popularity which was evidenced on their former visit Miss Marie Baines and her talented company have arranged to pay Te Kuiti a return visit, anil on Tuesday next, 22nd inst., "Our Mary Eileen." the laughing lass f fra' Lancashire, will again appear at the Town Hall. A number of new features and specialities will be introduced. Miss Baines appears in her inimitable child impersonation, "a child's trip to Blackpool," and Mr Chas. Arthur and Mr Eric Vivian in a new budget of selected songs. Former patrons will still have a very j keen and kindly rememberance of a pleasantly spent evening, and we feel sure that those who missed the previous performance will readily avail themselves of this opportunity. The box plan is now open at McColl's. CURLE'S PICTURES. "All is not Gold that Glitters" is the star picture to be serened at the Alexandra Rink on Wednesday evening, it is a film of absorbing interest and'produced on a magnificent scale. "Just like a Woman" is a picture everbyody will like. It is a drama showing the capriciousness or women. There are some gems among the comics.
