A. AND P. SOCIETY.
A general meeting of the King Country A. and P. Association was held in the county office on Wednesday evening last. A fair number of members attended. The president (Mr Somerville) stated that the meeting had been called for the puipose of going thoroughly into the matter Oj. finance, and gave a full resume of the actual position the association was in. The action of the committee in arranging a joint and several guarantee was confirmed. Mr Ross, Paemako, proposed that members should assist the association by donating annually either beast, sheep or lamb, the same to be sold at auction, the proceeds to be donated to the association. This was aeconded and carried unanimously. Mr G. Elliott proposed a vote of thanks to the executive committee for their good services in making arrangements for and carrying out the past show. —Carried. As only four mere names are required to complete the joint and several guarantee it is hoped that tne remaining number will shortly be forthcoming.
