TE KUITI MUNICIPAL BAND.
Though officially the Te Kuiti band has not yet made its debut, yet its recent gratuitous assistance of worthy causes has given the public an idea of its capabilities. Its first appearance in full strength, and when it will really be on its mettle as submitting itself to a verdict on its merit, will be at a grand concert in aid of the band funds. Further particulars of this may be looked for in the near future. However, through the generosity of Mr Curie, the public will be afforded an earlier opportunity of showing their appreciation of the public spirit displayed by the young local band. Mr Curie has kindly offered to donate to the band one half of the gross takings at his pictures on the night of the i6th inst., □ext Wednesday week. vVe are assured that a first-class programme will be presented and we hope that not only will picture patrons be present in force, but that many who do not usually amuse themselves in this way will make a special exception on the 16th. Tickets will be on sale every where, Don't forget.
