WAIHI STRIKE.
MINE OPENS NEXT WEDNESDAY
[itv na-w-'HAi'ii.-- j'juvss nssdciation.] Waihi, Tuesday. Mr IT. P. Harry, superintendent of tho Waihi company, interviewed thin morning by a Daily Telegraph reporter, stated that; work would he resumed at; tho mine on Wednesday week, and that the Waikino battery would be put in cummisiiion as noon as the quartz was available. Work at the mine would he .started irrespective of the number of men who turned up. All contractors who had held uncompleted contracts with the Waihi Company when tho strike wan declared have been notified by registered latter to tho effect, that they can resume their contract, whe.i tho mine opens on Wednesday week, and unless they can show flood reason for not resuming work on that date, the company will cancel tho contracts and put men on in their places.
