IS BRITAIN GOING TO WAR? EXTENDED LEAVE CANCELLED. By Telegraph—Press Association.— OopyrigM London, Monday. A Gazette notice to mariners announces that in connection with manoeuvres, or in the event of strained relations between Britain and any other naval Power vessels may be ap • pointed to examine ships entering certain ports. The establishment of. an examination service will never be advertised, but whenever relations are known to be in a state of tension, a sharp look out must be kept for the examination steamer. Seamen declare this to be the first notice of its kind issued here, and indicates the laying of mine fields. One master says that vessels of a certain nationality running to Australia have reserve coal to carry them a few weeks' further journey. It is stated that extended leave has been cancelled in the British navy for one year.
