MISS VALERIE COLLINS. We direct attention to the advertisement in another column announcing the entretainment to be given by Miss Valerie Collins and talented company. Miss Collins is a charming young New Zealand contralto, whose voice has been trained by Madam Christian, of Sydney, and who comes with some of the best newspaper reports possible. The Sdyney Daily Telegraph says:—"Miss Valerie Collins scored a great success last evening in the Sydney Town Hall. She sang in confident style and with dramatic spirit." The Sydney Morning Herald says:—Miss Valerie Collins should become known. The fine quality and vibrating resonance of her voice assisted her to an effective interpretation of '0 Love from thy Power.' The effect can be and is honestly praised, and shows what star voices can do with Delia's lovely aria."
With Miss Collins comes the pick of New Zealand's artists, together with Mr H. Madisson Cardon, whose humorous monologues and comic sketches keep his audience in roars of laughter. Altogether the entertain ment promises 10 be the best we have had in the district. Box plan at Mr McColl's, where 3s seats can be reserved.
