Sir, —I am somewhat surprised at Cr Julian wanting to go back on the by-law compelling eight feet between houses for air space. If you want to start slum-land, look at the three cottages next to Dr Zobel —only two feet between them. If Cr Julian is not prepared to carry out the by-laws he ought to resign and make way for some one more in keeping with the times.—l am, etc.,
AIR SPACE. P.S.—I was surprised at the Mayor endorsing Cr Julian's remarks.
