Mears Dalgety and Co., Ltd , report as follows: — We held our usual tri-weekly sale in the Hamilton yards on sth inst., when we had a yarding of 410 head of cattle, 308 sheep and 34 pigs. We also yarded the first spring lambs of the season. Bidding was brisk and nearly all lines offered changed hands. We quote:—Pat cows £6 7s 6d to £8 3s, fat heifers £5 10s to £6 7s 6d, forward cows and heifer 3 £4 10s to £5 2s Gd, 2J year steers £5 2s 6d, 2 year steers £4 10s, yearling steers £2 10s to £3 Bs, 2 year empty heifers £4 5s to £5 ss, yearling heifers £3 8s to £3 15s, Holstein yearling heifers £4 4s, springing heifers close to profit £6 17s 6d to £8 IDs, backward do. £4 5s to £5 10s, dairy cows £5 to £9 10s, fat wethers 22s to 24s 3d, fat ewes Is 7d, porkers £2 12s, elips 23s to 365.

Largo numbers of buyers attended from Auckland, Main Trunk line centres and all parts of the Waikato, and a good demand existed for young draughts good harness horses and hacks, but aged draughts and seedy sorts were unsaleable. Several line 3of very nice horses from Feilding, Levin and Taihape mot with a ready sale. The vendors of these were highly satisfied with the prices obtained, and were much lower in the reserves than the local sellers. Prices:—Unbroken three year heavy draughts £32 to £36, medium £23 10s to £2B, medium suitable for spring carters £l6 10s to £22, light sorts £5 10s to £l2 10s, weedy £1 17s 6d to £3, yearling draughts £8 5s to £l2. heavy draught mares broken £4O to £49, medium £33 to £37 ss, heavv geldings £36 10s to £46, medium £27 10s to £35 10s, plough and waggon horses, more aged £2l 10s to £25 10a, spring carters £l7 5s to £2B 10s for quality, more aged 'draughts £l2 to £lB, upstanding hacks and harness horses £lB to £26, well bred hacks £ls to £2O, saddle and harness cobs £9 to £l4, ponies £2 10s to £5.

Danish 128s, Australian Ills, Siberian 108s. Cheese.—The market is firm, with an upward tendency. Canadian 67s for white, 67s Gd for coloured. Wool.—The market is firm, with a hardening tendency for crossbreds. Current quotation for Bradford tops are: 136s' low crossbreds 13.? d. 40's low crossbreds Isd, 50's halfbreds 18d. 56's quarterbreds 21d, UO's merinos 26d.
