DEAN TO PLAY. [MY TKLHURAPH. —I'HF.SS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, This Day. The New Zealand League Council last night decided to allow Dean to play to-dav pending the hearing of Australia's appeal. (It will be remembered that Dean was uidered off the field in the match Auckland v. New South Wales last Saturday, for malpractices, and was subsequently disqualified for the remainder of the tour. Dean is described aa being an equal almost of Messenger, and has been playing for a club in England for the last three years and had only to the Commonwealth thrcß weeks prior to the team leaving for New Zealand).
