A CAPITAL MAGAZINE FOR BUSY PEOPLE.
The September number of "Life" magazine is notable for three fine Australian articles. The first deals with Australia's contribution to the science of aviation and some excellent pictures of various types of flying machine' aie shown. The second is the conclusion of Mr Henry Worrall's study of the Fijian question, in which he deals with one of the great problems of that Australia will have to face in the near future. The third is a sketch, by William Moore, of Australia's first artist, Mr W. G. Piguenit who might be termed "The Painter of Australian Mountains." The same issue of "Life" contains a brilliantly written account by Dr Fitchett of "Kennedy's Expedition," which started to explore Cape York Peninsula, and perished in its swampi and scrubs. Then there is a thrilling balloon adventure; a puzzlnig detective atory and a slashing review if Miss Addams' book on "The White Slave Traffic." The deparments devoted to books, science, sport, business, politics, poetry and humour, are, as usual, replete with good things, not the ;least interesting of which is a set of photographs of famous cricketers in action.
"Life" for September should be read by every man or woman who wishes to keep a breast of current thought and events in the pleasantest way. It is wonderful value for sixpence.
