The quarterly meeting of Te Kuiti Lodge of Druids was held in the lodge room on Tuesday evening, when there was a good attendance. Two candidates were duly initiated. Several important business matters were discussed and a committee, consisting of the officers of the lodge was appointed to provide for a social commemorating the opening of the Pride of Te Kuiti Lodge. The matter of a permanent lodge medical officer was brought forward, and it was unanimously decided to appoint Bro. Dr Mcßae to that position. After the business an impressive and pleasing ceremony took place when Bro. S. Chaplin, P.A., was duly installed as District President of District No. 26. P.D.P. Bro. Jones of the Star of Egmont Lodge, acted as installing officer. After several congratulatory speeches and response? (he remainder of the evening was spent in a social supper, during which several songs were rendered in a pleasing manner, and an enjoyable evening brought to a succeesful termination at a late hour.
