Te Awamutu ratepayers authorised at a poll yestreday the raising of £28,000 for municipal works. Particular of the voting are:—Water supply £18,000; roads £2000: For 115, against 37.
Gasworks, £8000: For 100, against 52. The Government approval ol a loan of £20,0u0 for water and street improvements has already been received. A gasworks loan has yet to be arranged.
