TE MAPARA.

A Correspondent. The new school erected by Mr J. D Evans for the Board of Education is a credit to the builder, and the settlers are highly pleased with such a fine addition to the facilities for the public. At the opening of the school each pupil was presented with a new book, the funds for the purnose being subscribed by the settlers. The adults celebrated the occasion with a social and dance, the function being kept going until the early hours of the morning.
