MINISTERS' PROPOSAL CRITICISED.

Regarding the Hon. P. M. B. Pishec's proposal to place a lightship instead of a lighthouse at the Three Kings, Captains Crawford of the Tofua, and Smith, also of the Union Company, ridiculed the idea, holding that the first heavy westerly gale would smash the lightship to pieces.
