WAIPA JOCKEY CLUB.
MEETING AT TE A.WAMUTU. The annual race meeting promoted by the Waipa Jockey Club takes place on Wednesday next, August 21st, at Te Awamutu. Excellent entries have been receivejJ for the various events, and given fine weather, a really good day's sport should be provided. The meeting is a sporting one in every sense of the term. The club' has no totalisator permit, and the meeting will be conducted without any revenue being derived from a betting source. It is to be hoped the enterprise of the club will be rewarded as it deserves.
King Country residents desirous of attending the meeting can do so at a minium of inconvenience, arrangements having been made for the train being delayed at Te Awamutu until 5.40 p.m.
