TE KUITI AND DISTRICT NO-LI-CENSE LEAGUE.

A meeting of the above league was held in the Congregational Church on Thursday evening, when the report of the delegate (Rev. A. Armstrong) to the recent conference in Wellington was listened to with great interest by those assembled. Special emphasis was laid upon the administration of the liquor laws in the King Country, several members of the Convention speaking up strongly on this point. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Armstrong for the excellent report rendered. Mr J. Nicholls, had been acting secretary pro tem wished to be relieved of office and the Rev. R. B. Gosnell was appointed hon. secretary. No time is to be lost by the league in preparing for the next prohibition battle.
