The following letter has been -received by Mr Mostyn Jones, secretary of the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce, from the secretary of the Hastings Chamber of Commerce "Your letter was placed before our Chamber of Commerce at their month • ly meeting yesterday, and I have been | instructed to send the following resolution which was passed on to you:— "That this Chamber sympathises with the endeavour of the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce to open up the county between Kawhia and Hawke s Bav It desires to point out to the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce that steps are now being taken to deve op inland Hawke's Bay by means of a light railway to Puketitiri. When this work is Smpleted it will be on the lineof favoured by the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce."
