GOLF.

In view of the bad weather hitherto experienced during the present winter there has been little golf played. Practice has been indulged in from time to time and* some excellent form has been shown by old players, while a number of novices have been matting valiant efforts to tee off. The interest manifested in the game has led the enthusiasts to declare themselves quite fit for a challenge game with Te Awamutu or any other handy golfing centre. A meeting of the Te Kuiti Golf Club is called for Friday evening to put matters into shape for the season.
