INQUEST AT MAROKOPA.

Marokopa, Tuesday. An inquest was held yesterday on the remains of James Richards, aged 59, labourer, whose death occurred suddenly at hiß camp, Waikawau road, on Sunday last. Mr P. C. Rose, J.P., was coroner, and Constable Wade represented the police. A jury of six was empannelled. William Lack deposed to finding deceased in a dying condition lying on the road. Corroborative evidence was tendered by Samuel Vale, his mate. Dr Campbell Jenkins, of Kawhia, certified that a post mortem showed death was due to Bright'a disease. A verdict in accordance with the medical testimony was returned. The funeral took place to-day at Kiritehere cemetery. Deceased was unmarried and haß relations at Urenui. He was much respected in the district.
