COMMERCIAL.

On Friday, 28th inst., Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., will hoW a clearing sale at Mr Patrick Coyle's farm, Hairini. Mr Coyle's lease has expired and everything is for sale. The cattle apd sheep are all good sorts and in good condition. The horses are a particularly good lot and this is an exceptional opportunity for those requiring good useful farm sorts. A lot of farm implements will also be sold, all of which are in good order. The sale will commence at 11.30 a.m sharp, and full details are to be seen in our advertising columns.

Newton King reports:— On 14th inst. I had a good entry of mostly yearlings and cows in my Kaponga yards. The demand was good throughout, a clearance being made at the following rates:—Yearling heifers fron £2 2a 6d to £3 0s 6d, poorer 22s fid to 32s Gd. steers 325, bulls 31s to £3 lis 6d, store cows £2 13s to £3 9s, forward cows £3 lis to £4 os, fat cows, small £4 12s to £5 4s. empty 20 months heifers £3 9s to £3 15s, dairy cows £8 2s 6d to £8 10s.

At Albert road on 17th inst., there was a very good attendance and good cometition focr the cows sold on account of Mrs Belby. Prices:—For best £7 5s to £9 ss. others £4 to £6, bulls £7, on account of other vendors, dairy cows from £5 to £ll 10s. My Rahotu yards were well filled on 18th and I had a good attendance. Competition was very keen, good cows and yearlings selling at improved rates. Several pens of 2 year haifers in calf were yarded, but did not reach the reserves, these being the only cattle not sold during the day. Prices —Coloured yearlinrgs, heifers up to £4 Is, good 40s 6d, poor 28s to 295, yearling steers, best 27s 6d to 40s, others 14s to 22s 6d, yearling bulis 365, 20 months steers £3 8s 6d, 20 months empty heifers £3 7s 63, 20 months heifers in calf £3 15s to £4 ss, 20 montths Holstein heifers in calf £5 14s, store cows £2 Is to £3 16s, forward cows £ 12s 6d, fat cows £5 13s, Rahotu Dairy Factory shares 8s 6d.

On the 19th inst., notwithstanding the wretched weather, I had an excellent attendance at the Ngariki road, Rahotu, for C. Henderson's clearing sale The cows which were a good lot, met with good competition, averaging for the line £9 2s 6d, best quality cows realised from £ll to £l4 ss, good £7 5s to £9 15s, backward to poor £6 ss'to £6 10s, threequarter cows £5, yearling steers 41s, harness mare £l2, dray £B.

At Oaonui on 20th inst., for Mr McCaul's dispersal sale buyers again attended in good numbers and made good competition for tha dairy cattle. Good cows realised from £8 15s to £l4, late calvers and poor from £4 to £7 10s, threequarter cows £4 to £4 15s, empty Jersey cow £5, in calf 2 year grade heifers nice line £5 7s 6d, 2 year grade Jersey bull £5 2s 6d, 4 year mare £2l 15s, 5 year mare £l2 15s, 6 year mare £2O 10s.
